Lauren Sands is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She is driven to create a visual experience in which her paintings are just one aspect of a larger design story. Lauren is drawn to the intersection of art and interior design and how they inform each other. Her work is intended to be paired together with sculpture, furniture, photography and other forms of art to create a cohesive and multi-layered aesthetic. Lauren’s work is a reflection on abstract sculpture, the human form, and how negative space and simple shapes can be used to create multifaceted images. She draws inspiration from a wide variety of sculpture, photography, prints, and collage.
